This policy explains what personal data Sea Jay Media (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit this website or get in touch, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws.
Who is responsible
Sea Jay Media is the controller of your personal data. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@seajay-media.com.
What we collect
- When you email us or book a call: your name, email address and whatever you choose to tell us about your project.
- When you apply to the referral program: your name, email address and (optionally) your website or audience. If you become a partner, we also keep records of the referrals credited to you and the commissions paid.
- When you browse the site: our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type in server logs, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal — steps taken at your request before a contract.
- To deliver and support the work we do for you — performance of a contract.
- To run the referral program and pay commissions — performance of a contract.
- To keep the website secure and working — our legitimate interest.
- To meet accounting and tax obligations — legal obligation.
We never sell your data, and we don't send marketing emails without your consent.
Who we share it with
We only share data with service providers that help us run the business — for example our website host, email provider and call-booking tool — under agreements that require them to protect it. Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; where they do, we rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to a project are deleted within 12 months. Client and partner records are kept for as long as we work together, and invoices for as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw any consent you've given. Just email hello@seajay-media.com — we'll respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
